Hello.

My name is Sierra Krainski.

I recently graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology, and a minor in Counseling and Human Services.

Class of 2021.

My post graduation plans include becoming a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) through the Virginia Board of Counseling. Last September, for Suicide Prevention Month, I completed a workshop delivered by The Sarah Michelle Peterson Foundation and earned a safeTALK certification (Suicide Alertness For Everyone). My long term goals include becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I am committed to prioritizing wellness and mental health in the community. I want to foster an environment that encourages individuals to flourish emotionally and academically through strength-based modalities. I would love to serve in a position where I can empower others by providing a safe space to learn, develop skills, gain resources, and encourage growth.

My research interests include: cognitive-behavioral therapy of anxiety disorders, gender identity development, holistic treatment for ADHD, adolescent risk behavior and suicidality, psychological testing, substance abuse, and military psychology.

My personal hobbies and interests include: all outdoor recreation and camping, travel, photography, watercolor, mystery novels, embroidery, Macramé, video games, cooking, and watching movies.

Thank you for visiting my digital ePortfolio.
